Biography
Chet Hammill, M.D., attended college and medical school at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a Master of Science in aerospace engineering in 2002 and completing medical school in 2004. He completed his general surgery training at the University of Hawaii in 2009, and subsequently completed a two-year hepatobiliary and pancreas surgery fellowship at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Ore.
Dr. Hammill also completed a Master of Clinical Research degree through Oregon Health & Science University in 2012.
Dr. Hammill has multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of liver and pancreas surgery. His current areas of research include: minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, image-guided surgery, radiofrequency ablation, immunotherapy in liver and pancreas cancer, and transarterial liver directed therapy using drug eluting beads and Yittrium-90.
