"I became a physician because I wanted to provide a service to people," said Dr. Julianne Thompson. "From my teenage years as a candy striper and working as a nursing assistant through college, I discovered that medicine best fit my interests and personality."
Dr. Thompson enjoys the challenges of medicine and understands that a visit to the doctor isn't everyone's favorite activity. "Each patient's health is unique, and my role is to partner with them to work toward good health," she says.
After earning her medical degree from the University of Arizona, she completed her internship and residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. She is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Thompson spent 33 years in Arizona before moving to Oregon. She enjoys the green scenery, rain and cold weather here. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, wine tasting and spending time with her two adult children and grandson. Dr. Thompson is fluent in Spanish.
