Biography
Doug Shumaker, M.D., graduated from Oregon Health & Science University and later completed his general surgery internship and gastroenterology fellowship also at OHSU.  He finished his residency in internal medicine at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.  Dr. Shumaker brings The Oregon Clinic, West Hills gastroenterology division several honors and awards including Medical Faculty Auxilary Award for Academic Excellence from OHSU.  He was voted as one of Portland’s “Top Docs” in Portland Monthly Magazine.  Dr. Shumaker is a member of several organizations including the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.  He is also on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Gut Club and the Practice Management Committee for the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
