Hugh Stelson, M.D., graduated from Antioch College in Ohio. He received his medical training at the University of Southern California and completed his family practice residency at Northridge Hospital in Northridge, Calif.
His clinical special interests include preventive health, evidence-based medicine, lipid therapy and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Stelson is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
"The power of the physician-patient relationship is strong," says Dr. Stelson. "For nearly 25 years, I have been fortunate to practice in a rural area, where physicians most often develop longstanding relationships with individuals and families."
Dr. Stelson is the medical director of Providence North Coast Clinic. He has served as chief of staff at Providence Seaside Hospital for three terms, is past-president of the Oregon Medical Association and delegate to the American Medical Association.
