Steven Olsen enjoys the challenges and rewards practicing medicine has to offer. "It enables the development of unique bonds with patients and coworkers, and creates lifetime of ongoing learning," said Steven.

He believes that the key to providing good health care is to first understand the patient's concerns and health care goals; then develops a care plan in partnership with the patient. "I believe better health is best achieved when physicians create health care plans that are integrated with the patient's lifestyle," he said. "As a physician, I am humbled and honored when patients place their trust and wellbeing, in my hands."

Dr. Olsen specializes in ear, nose and throat care, or otolaryngology. His subspecialty interests are treatment of head and neck cancers including, skin cancer, diseases of the thyroid, salivary glands, and the nose, mouth and throat. He is also interested in sinus, laryngology, and facial reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Olsen graduated from the University of Minnesota with an undergraduate degree in biology, and earned his medical degree from OHSU.

Originally from Rochester, Minn., Steven loves the outdoors and the northwest cuisine brought him to Oregon. Steven and his wife Molly Olsen, M.D., an internal medicine physician, are eager to explore the Columbia Gorge with their family.
