Dr. Hobson received both her MD and PhD degrees from Oregon Health & Science University. Her research was in the department of Cellular and Molecular Biology, and focused on intracellular signaling pathways. She then continued at OHSU for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
From the beginning, she knew she would focus on Urogynecology and Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. After five years of private practice in a Portland Urogynecology Specialty group, she chose to join Women's Healthcare Associates as part of Northwest Gynecology Center, developing a Urogynecology Program focused not only on treating pelvic floor disorders, but on attempting to prevent and better understand pelvic floor injuries. Dr. Hobson is a steering committee member in the multidisciplinary Providence Continence Center, and is the Gynecology Section Chair at Providence St. Vincent's Hospital. She is married and stays very busy keeping up with her three girls.
