Biography

Molly Hoeflich, M.D., joined Providence Health & Services in 1986 as medical director of a 21-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, Providence Acute Rehabilitation Center (PARC). Since then, Dr. Hoeflich has played a crucial role in developing and overseeing rehabilitation service for patients who have suffered devastating injuries, stroke and other debilitating medical conditions.

At PARC, Dr. Hoeflich helped develop the transition program for orthopedic patients who need a relatively short stay in preparation for going home. She helped develop the only animal-assisted therapy program in an acute rehabilitation unit in Portland. The dogs are specially trained to work with physical therapists and their disabled patients.

Dr. Hoeflich earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Northwestern University Medical Center, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. She is a member of five professional societies, including the American College of Physician Executives and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
