Biography
Dr. Keenen is an orthopedic spine surgeon, who focuses on both pediatric and adult spinal surgery. He has practiced in the Portland area since 1988 and has experience with minimally invasive spine procedures, motion preservation surgeries (cervical and lumbar artificial discs), microdiscectomy, cervical fusion, lumbar fusion, as well as deformity surgery including scoliosis and kyphosis. Dr. Keenen earned his medical degree at St. Louis University and completed an orthopedic residency at the U.S. Naval Medical Center. He completed a spine fellowship at U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Cal. and then served as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Oregon Health and Science University for nine years.
