David Leaf, MD is a board-certified urologist practicing all aspects of adult urology for men and women. Dr. Leaf served in Vietnam as commanding officer of a US Army medical clearing company and later achieved the rank of major while working at Madigan Army Hospital near Fort Lewis, WA as a urologist.
He joined Urologic Consultants in January 2008, bringing 33 years of expertise to the practice. Over the course of his career he has become a valuable expert resource in the Portland medical community for peer-to-peer consultations.
Patients are frequently surprised by his highly personal patient care and the amount of time he takes to make sure they understand their diagnosis and treatment options. "I can do a lot to advance research," he says. "But in the end medicine comes down to each relationship, each diagnosis, and each outcome."
In his free time, Dr. Leaf enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoys fly-fishing, biking, gardening, golfing, and skiing.
