Biography

Yolanda has considerable interest and experience with international health, including participating in the James A. Ferguson Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program in San Juan Puerto Rico, working at the Centre Medical Emmanuel, Cayes-Jacmel, Haiti, and working at the Tropical Medicine Institute at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Perú. Dr.Domond joined our hospitalist group in 2007. When not working, she enjoys swimming, soccer, tennis, painting, international travel, cooking, and camping.

Education

Yolanda Domond was born in Portland, Ore., and attended the University of Oregon where she received a bachelor's degree in biology with minors in chemistry and political science. She completed her medical school studies at Howard University, in Washington D.C., and her internal medicine and pediatrics combined residency at Christiana Care Heath Center in Newark, Del.
