Providence

John Godwin, M.D., spent more than 25 years in academic medicine before joining Providence and the Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center.

Dr. Godwin is a nationally known expert in leukemia, lymphoma and blood coagulation. He has conceived, designed and led innovation clinical trials in leukemia and lymphoma for Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG). Dr. Godwin has served on various panels for the NIH-NCI and is currently a member of the NCI Leukemia Steering Committee.

In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Godwin has been recognized for patient care by Chicago's Top Doctors and received the 10 Year Award for America's top doctors by Castle Connolly. He is board certified in hematology and internal medicine.
