Dr. Jennifer Kurmaskie believes that educating families about children's medical problems, health issues and ways to stay healthy is her most important role as a pediatric physician.

In her practice, she takes a holistic approach to patient care. She emphasizes prevention and public health as well as patient education.

Dr. Kurmaskie received her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Children's National Medical Center, George Washington University, Washington, D.C. In addition, she holds a master's degree in public health from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.

Dr. Kurmaskie's hobbies include running, hiking, skiing, cooking and reading. She also does volunteer medical work in Guatemala.
