Sajal C. Dutta, MD, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was drawn to urology by the opportunity to work with a variety of different people. He currently practices at The Urology Clinic, PC.
"Simply stated, it's about the people - colleagues, nurses, office staff and patients," he explains. "Urology allows me to interact with people of varying backgrounds and learn from them. At the same time, I get an unbelievable opportunity to work with the latest technological advances in medicine and use them to help my patients."
Dr. Dutta is intrigued by all aspects of urology and enjoys the fact that there is always something new to learn. He is particularly interested in prostate related surgery and has conducted research into how specific urologic treatments affect quality of life for patients.
"In addition to providing care, I enjoy hearing about what is important to my patients," he says. "Whether it has to do with their medical condition or with what is going on in their personal lives - I'm interested."
In his free time, Dr. Dutta enjoys running, golf, skiing and USC football.
