Biography

David Antezana, M.D., is a physician and surgeon focusing on brain and spine disorders and is certified in Gamma Knife radiosurgery.

He is a co-founder of Oregon Spine Society and practices with Microneurosurgical Consultants in Portland. Dr. Antezana earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and completed his residency in neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. There he was an instructor and fellow in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

Earlier, he served as a biomedical engineer and research assistant with the National Institute of Neurologic Disorders and Stroke Laboratory, Central Nervous System Studies, part of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md.

Dr. Antezana is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Bolivian American Medical Society. His work has been published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology and he has lectured extensively on disorders of the spine, including tumors and corrective surgery for spinal deformities.
