Biography
Dr. Peterson is an internationally trained spine specialist practicing minimally invasive spine surgery at Southern Oregon Orthopedics since 1994. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed his internship and orthopedic residency at Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio. Dr. Peterson also completed fellowships in spinal surgery and research at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia; Queens Medical Center in Nottingham, England; and North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. Dr. Peterson has over ten years experience with design and development of surgical implants, techniques, and surgeon education. He has published numerous articles and book chapters and remains active in clinical research. He is the founding member of the Providence Spine Program and current medical director of the Providence Southern Oregon Spine Center.
