Dr. Kansara is a fellowship-trained stroke neurologist. He earned his medical degree at B.J.Medical College, Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India. He then completed an internal medicine residency at Civil Hospital, Gujarat, India, and a year of research fellowship in the anesthesiology and pain medicine department at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston. At Wayne State University in Detroit, he completed a neurology residency, where he was chief resident, and a vascular neurology fellowship.
Dr. Kansara has been involved in a number of clinical research and epidemiological trials as an investigator in endovascular intervention of acute stroke studies, and a study of national outcome of young stroke patients. He has presented his work in peer reviewed journals and International stroke conferences. He is also an avid sports fan and plays tennis, cricket and golf.
