Dr. Duwelius concentrates his orthopedic practice on adult fracture surgery and total joint reconstruction of the hip and knee. Minimally invasive hip and knee surgery and clinical research in the areas of total joint arthroplasty and fractures of the lower extremity are the major emphasis of his surgical practice. Patient care, development of better hip and knee, clinical pathways to improve patient care and hospital stay are particular areas of interest. Dr. Duwelius is married and has three children. Recreational activities include camping and sports activities with his family, fly-fishing, bicycling and snow skiing.
