Providence Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Treatment

Providence Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Treatment Program offers teens who have behavioral and emotional difficulties a safe place where they and their families can begin to develop a balanced life. Growing up is not easy. Sometimes young people face issues that are beyond their coping abilities. Some problems are too serious for families, schools and private counselors to manage. This can result in emotionally and physically destructive behavior. At these times, young people may need the compassionate, focused attention available within the controlled environment of a psychiatric hospital. Although difficult, these events can provide understanding, growth and healing for teens and their families. We offer a patient- and family-centered program, featuring:

  • Age-appropriate care
  • Flexible schedules and activities
  • Family involvement
  • Behavioral interventions
  • A blend of medical, emotional and social therapies
  • Close communication with family members, the patient’s school and community providers

Our treatment program is created to be developmentally appropriate for the age of the adolescent. It is prescribed based on the individual’s needs and includes collaborative problem-solving approaches. It encourages strong family involvement during treatment, including in care and discharge planning.
