Swindells Resource Center of Providence Child Center supports parents and caregivers of children who have special needs, developmental delays or disabilities. We provide resourcesinformation and education to communities throughout Oregon and southwest Washington.

Locations: Swindells Resource Center has three Oregon locations: Portland, Medford and Hood River. Please contact each site for hours of operation or to make an appointment. Swindells staff provide support and resources in person at our sites and by phone or email, or you can send us a message through the website.

Events: Swindells provides learning opportunities all year long. Our presenters include local experts in various medical and educational fields, and we partner with organizations to bring in nationally and internationally known advocates for children and families. View our events calendar for details and current information.

Care Notebook: This functions as a personal health record and helps parents coordinate the complex records of their child's care, services and providers. The Care Notebook is available online in English and Spanish. Our Swindells Resource Center staff offer training to help families get started with the Care Notebook.

Swindells resource libraries: Located at each of our centers, the libraries provide useful information on a wide variety of subjects of interest to families of children with special needs. Books are available for loan at no cost and can be mailed anywhere they are needed. Parents and caregivers may view the searchable online library and request an item for pickup or to be mailed. Videos are also available for viewing at Swindells centers; however, we do not lend videos.
